 The Queensland impoundment barramundi scene is ever-evolving, and the tackle needed to subdue these magnificent fish in close-quarters fights is continually being re-assessed and upgraded.

There's long been a need for an off-the-rack barra rod that is capable of red-lining lines, leaders, and terminals, and that's what you get with the Raider Impoundment Raider.

At six feet in length, this one piece rod is a good size for pressure fishing situations in amongst the timber.

Fixed cork grips (with a ‘Skeletonised' butt configuration), a Fuji reel seat, Fuji Alconite guides and neat, minimalist binds and epoxy keeps the weight down to make all-day (or night!) casting sessions as pain-free as possible.

The Impoundment Raider easily handles monofilament lines from six to ten kilo, and lures from 15-30 grams.

Mated to a Shimano Calcutta CTE 300 or CTE 250DC, it makes for the deadliest dam barra slayer around.
