Captain Bill Billson is internationally
renowned with over 30 years experience as a professional
Captain and crew in destinations such as: Cairns, Sydney,
Port Stephens, and the south coast of NSW, along with
Indonesia and America. He has been involved in the capture
of World Records with Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Yellowfin
Tuna as well as Mako sharks. Billson was the Captain
for the capture of the largest Fish ever to be caught
on saltwater flyfishing tackle in world history. No
other Captain in this country can compete with his consistency
of wins and placings in major tournaments including;
NSW Interclub, Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic, The
Lexus black marlin classic, Port Stephens Billfish Shootout,
to name a few. |

Dean Butler is known worldwide for his
angling achievements, his ingenuity in the development
of tackle and techniques and his photojournalism which
has appeared in all leading Australian angling publications
and in noted US magazines including Marlin, Sportfishing,
Grays Sporting Journal and Flyfishing In Saltwater.
He is a renowned guide who has assisted in the capture
of over a dozen Billfish world records by anglers from
around the globe and is himself a multiple IGFA flyfishing
world record holder. Butlers 25 year fishing career
has taken him throughout Australia and the Pacific,
North America, Argentina, the Bahamas and Costa Rica.
Currently he spends around 130 days a year working the
decks of some of the worlds best gamefishing boats specialising
in targeting billfish on all types of tackle for his
clients. |

This two-day workshop is designed to give hands on experience
for both the newcomer as well as the experienced. The knowledge
that Bill and Dean are prepared to pass on to participants
will be invaluable for not only getting greater results when
marlin fishing, but also a total understanding of boat handling
when fighting fish and also professional berthing at the dock.
